On May 2, Ritenour students went to Six Flags to participate in the celebration of grades. Students who achieved improvement of GPA or good attendance for first semester were eligible to go to Six Flags.

“I am very excited, this is my first time going with Ritenour High and I cannot wait. Friday cannot come any sooner,” freshman Diedre Dinkins said.

The Six Flags trip can give students various options to enjoy the stay. It allows students to stay until 6 or come home at 2:15. Also, Ritenour supplied different options for food. The options are sack lunches, food vouchers, or students bringing their own money.

“I am very excited, me and my friends are getting prepared. I like how you can stay longer if you want, gives me more time to be with my girlfriend,” junior Kailyn Franklin said.

The Renaissance program supports the trip and students pay $23.50 to go, and also can use season passes if they have one.

Students who went on the Six Flags trip acknowledged that it was great way for students to enjoy themselves before the year ends and a good way to enjoy the weather with fellow classmates.
