October 26 was Ritenour’s annual blood drive sponsored by the National Honor Society organization of the school.

Numerous students and even teachers participated in this giving event, creating an impact on others in the building. Walk-ins were welcome which led to more students joining in on the generous offer.

“I recently learned about all of the different things that giving blood can do for other people, like it can save 3 lives,” senior Alyssa Johnson said.

Johnson, the Historian of NHS, helped set up the event.

Another senior, Kentrell Moore contributed to the talk on giving blood.

“I felt good, it was an achievement,” Moore said.

Although this year wasn’t Johnson’s first, it was Moore’s and they both felt proud of their actions.
