Today is senior night for the girls volleyball team.

These girls have worked to perfect their craft during the seasons they have played. Some have even played Varsity for all four years in high school.

Morgan Coffey has been playing Varsity volleyball since her freshman year.

“This is our last time playing on this court together, playing with the same best friends I have ever made. Senior night means closure, the end to an era. It will help us bond even more,” Coffey said.

Coffey’s best friend Taylor Russell is also a senior volleyball player.

“It’s what we worked hard for, for four years. We watched all of the past seniors grow and leave, and now it’s our turn. It’s our last time playing together,” Russell said.

Russell also said that she was really excited about the cake and getting gifts. She thinks that this night will be the day to let the younger girls get excited and build up on a special day for their senior nights. Another teammate believes the cake is an important part of the night.

“This will help us all bond at the end of the season, I am excited about eating cake. This is important to me because it shows how much work we have put into this season,” senior Sarah Robertson said.

This night means so much to these ladies. The girls are looking forward to this game, but also for a better future.

“We are all growing up and moving on to greater things,” Robertson said.
