“Behind every person lies a story”

Ritenour High School believes that for each person there is a story. That we don’t know what the other person is going through so we must not judge others. We are sharing stories of students and staff, not to be a voyeur into others pain, but to show that we all deserve some compassion.

My biological father is in jail so my mom became a single mother with 5 kids.  My sisters didn’t really get to do anything in high school and they had to fundraise for themselves.  I was still in elementary school so I had to pretty much teach myself how to do things because my mom was too busy trying to go to college and get a job.  I got watched by my grandma and my aunt a lot. My brothers and sisters never really had time for me so I’m not really close to them.

I learned that you rely on your family and having two parents a lot. I learned that  sometimes you have to put yourself before others,”
