You Don't Know My Story- Junior Coby Nathaniel

“Behind every person lies a story”

Ritenour High School believes that for each person there is a story. That we don’t know what the other person is going through so we must not judge others. We are sharing stories of students and staff, not to be a voyeur into others pain, but to show that we all deserve some compassion.

“I have ADD. It’s hard to focus.

It has affected my relationships with other people because it makes people think I’m not paying attention to them. For example, my mom always gets upset because she thinks I’m not listening to her. It has also affected my grades. It’s hard to pay attention in class and do homework because there are so many distractions and I have responsibilities other than homework, so that distracts me too. Sometimes, I have to do certain things to pay attention, like play with a fidget cube to pay attention in class.

But this won’t stop me from accomplishing my goals, like going to college for pre-med in hopes of becoming a plastic surgeon. Jackson Avery inspired me to become a plastic surgeon. He is a character on Greys Anatomy, and he’s mixed you know. That’s me. Through him, I see myself becoming successful.”
