You Don’t Know My Story- Senior Aschia Speer

“Behind every person lies a story”
Ritenour High School believes that for each person there is a story. That we don’t know what the other person is going through so we must not judge others. We are sharing stories of students and staff, not to be a voyeur into others pain, but to show that we all deserve some compassion.
Senior Aschia Speer
“My greatest struggle will probably have to be living on my own at 17, working for myself, doing everything myself because of family issues. I think my biggest fear would have to be losing everything and not having anything at such a young age.
I feel the most loved and supported now in my life. Since I haven’t been home since October, I thought I really didn’t have anybody and I did not have anything, but I have so many people that care about me and love me and have given me places to live, food, opportunities to be great and make myself feel great.
A goal I was reaching was to graduate, to make sure I graduate, and my path to get there was like a struggle with a lot of obstacles, but I pushed through them and I got through it. I graduate in less than a hundred days and I am still doing fine.”
