Even though Ritenour students have praised the creativity of previous Spirit Weeks, this spring the Leadership team tried to elevate the celebratory week even further.

Spirit week was a week of Halloween style dress-up, where Ritenour’s students showed their school spirit before Prom, which was held on that Saturday, April 20, by wearing funky clothing and themed outfits.

The themes for this year were Pajama Day, Season Day, Western Wednesday, and Little Kid Day. It was capped off with Black and Orange Day.

For the first time at Ritenour in recent memory the Prom was held on the high school campus.

“It was grander than it ever could have been at the hotel, and since we’re having Prom here, it makes our budget a lot bigger which means more fun,” junior class President John Rodenberg said.

Some things that was included in the 2013 “Once Upon a Dream” Prom were a photo booth that could fit up to twenty people, King and Queen chairs, lounge section, red carpet, and outdoor fountain.
