METC 2018 presenter Robert Corbin

Director of Global Initiatives for Discovery Education, Robert Corbin, talked to Midwest teachers about different ways to teach or to learn.

In his speech, he talks about how “Tools don’t change learning, teachers do.”

STEM stands for Students & Teachers Energizing Minds.

Corbin said, as a whole, teachers need a majority of ways to teach their students about the lessons they give.

“It’s better to have a ton of ways for teaching to help students understand the topics they are receiving,” he said. “To better understand the objectives that teachers give them, we need different ways to help students learn about the certain topics that are current as of right now, some understand and some are confused about what’s really going on.”

Corbin echoed that there has to be ways to change their way of teaching students.
