Ritenour High School was out of school on Monday, Dec 23 and Tuesday, Dec 24 due to a large snowfall and low temperatures. These cancellations happening during the dates of final exam forcing high school principal Jeffrey Marker to make last minute changes to the usual half day early releases; reducing testing from three days to two. Through an online petition students weighed in on how they felt the effects of the altered schedule would impact their overall grades. In the end, a decision was made to have student final exams be curved therefore giving students more opportunities to be successful.
